With Two-Way Audio and smart intruder-deterrence, our Wired Outdoor Camera helps you keep a watchful eye on the driveway, patio door, garage, backyard, and more. It’s also great for monitoring commonly stolen items such as package deliveries, outdoor decorations, and furniture.
Easily add the camera to your system using the Frontpoint mobile app. To mount the camera, route the cable to an indoor power outlet, either drilling a hole from the outside of your home through to the inside or using an existing hole from a previous camera.
If you don’t want to use a power drill, you can purchase a compatible mount and run the cable through a window to an indoor outlet—or use an outdoor outlet if the camera is under a roof overhang.
Requirements for Installation and Mounting:
- Wi-Fi connection: 2.4 GHz (preferred) or 5 GHz
- An outlet within 15 feet of the camera location to accommodate the length of the AC adapter cable (included)

1. How does this camera differ from the Wireless Outdoor Camera and Premium Floodlight Camera?
All three cameras offer visibility into your outdoor space with plenty of other state-of-the-art features. While they are all reliable options, here’s what to know:
- The Premium Floodlight Camera provides the next level of protection and automation with two extremely powerful built-in floodlights that can be automated and the loudest siren.
- The Wireless Outdoor Camera is battery-powered, providing the most flexibility but with a few less features. Due to the nature of battery-powered cameras, it doesn’t support continuous recording, cannot operate in extreme temperatures, and may take a few more seconds to start recording when motion is detected.

2. Can I be notified when the camera detects movement?
Yes, the Frontpoint app can notify you whenever movement is detected. Video Analytics allows your camera to distinguish between a person, animal, or vehicle and will notify you accordingly. You can also set tripwires and virtual zones so that you’re only notified when activity is detected in designated areas.
3. Will my Wired Outdoor Camera work if the power goes out?
No. The Wired Outdoor Camera requires a power source, so it will not work if your power goes out.
